CONEFLOWERS IN MANY COLOURS

Echinacea purpurea is the botanical name for the coneflower that comes from North America. The free flowering plants grow into spreading clumps. Spikes emerge from the foliage, producing large daisy flowers with a prominent cone-like centre. The petals (ray florets) are bright and bold, giving the flowers a distinctive shape and form. Traditionally found in shades of rose-purple and white, newer hybrids have been developed in hues of cream, yellow, orange and red.

Echinacea ‘Cheyenne Spirit’ has added a whole new dimension to these most rewarding and easy to grow perennials. Look out for them right now. They bloom all summer long and extend way into the autumn. Full sun and rich loamy soils are there most important requirements.
