DECIDUOUS FRUIT TREES

New stocks of a wide range of deciduous fruit trees are available for planting now. Freshly picked fruit from the garden is especially satisfying – it just seems to taste better. Most of these trees prefer cold winter climates. They require a certain amount of winter chill to induce flower bud formation and early flowering. Warm to mild climates are marginal for growing many of these fruits.

Apples, pears, plums, peaches, nectarines, figs, pomegranates, grape vines, apricots are all part of the long list of plants on offer. Remember that they all need to grow in an open, sunny position with free air movement all around the trees and vines. Some require cross pollination to ensure fruit formation. More details on this will be available in store.
