DELICIOUS STRAWBERRIES

Nothing is more satisfying than harvesting your very own fresh strawberries from the garden. They’re easy to grow if given the right conditions and shown a heap of good old TLC. Rich well drained soil, regular watering and fertilising along with routine inspections for pest especially snails is paramount. Protect fruit from birds and dare it be said – monkeys.

They flourish in winter and spring so now is the best time for setting out strawberry plants. Plant into the ground where suitable or grow in pots or hanging baskets where space is tight. Remember they sunlight to set flower buds before the fruit set.
