MAKE THE MOST OF MIMULUS

Mimulus xhybridus ‘Magic Mixed’ are spectacular little flowers that are not particularly well known to local gardeners. They are easy to grow and are most rewarding, growing well throughout the year. They form compact plants about 25 cm high and are covered in tubular flowers some 2 cm in diameter. Colours include shades of orange, red, white yellow and wine some plain others with chocolate coloured blotches on the petals. Seedlings bloom as young plants and continue for months on end. They’re frost resistant and can grow in sun or light shade. Mimulus enjoy wet feet, tolerating moist and damp soils. Space plants 30 to 35 cm apart.
